Ranch Kids Taste Test BEACHBAR, the new snack bar from Beachbody

| When we tested it and why
On April 19, 2018, we stopped at the post office and grabbed our order of BEACHBARS. We took it home and gave both flavors the Kid-Taste-Test. I was very curious to see if they would like the taste. I was wondering if the new snack bars would be tasty snacks for school lunches, to shove in pockets on cattle drives or to throw in the cooler at horse shows. I was curious to see if my kids would like them.

Rebecca loved both flavors. Ira liked the cherry over the peanut butter. Paxton didn’t care for either. They weren’t sweet enough for him.
They both have a crispy texture. The cherry one has a hint of tartness, the peanut butter one smells and tastes like peanut butter. They both are chocolatey.
| BEACHBAR, Pros & Cons
low glycemic index, low calorie, not too sweet, convenient, good flavor, pure ingredients, flavor choice, chocolate in both, contains fiber
my kids only liked them instead of loving them, as I’d hoped, they’d still choose the chips or candy bars over BEACHBAR, more expensive than junk food

How does BEACHBAR stack up against the other snack bars on the market?
The chart below reflects the grams of protein, sugar, and fiber per 150 calories.
*Competitive bar nutrition information collected January 2018 for the following brands and flavors:
KIND is a trademark of KIND LLC. XBAR is a trademark of Chicago Bar Company LLC. CLIF BAR is a trademark of Clif Bar & Company. LÄRABAR is a trademark of General Mills Specialty Products, LLC.
For my rating, I give BEACHBAR 4 out of 5 stars.
Here’s how the kids rated:
Chocolate Cherry Almond
- Paxton, 3 stars
- Ira, 4
- Rebecca 14 (She’s three years old. Haha!)
Peanut Butter Chocolate
- Paxton, 4 stars
- Ira, 3
- Rebecca 5.
We will use these to stuff pockets on cattle drives, as after school snacks and for grab-n-go snacks at horse shows.
I recommend BEACHBAR for busy, on-the-go horse-riding families who like to snack. It’s a good choice for people looking to reduce sugar intake and increase protein and fiber. People who are gluten free and have a sweet tooth but don’t want to fall off their diet will like BEACHBAR.
